After selling my sofa company in 2024, and spending over thirty years in retail and interior design, I decided to do something completely different: I took a full year away from my laptop.
2025; a full year without laptop
At first, it felt strange, that inner voice whispering “you should be doing something” was still there. But soon I found my rhythm in something much simpler: being outside, creating, working with tiles and paint. Being outdoors felt refreshing and grounding. Making things with my hands brought peace and a deep sense of satisfaction.
It became a year of meditative stitching; a journey through craft and culture: In Argentina, I made a butterfly chair in a small workshop in Buenos Aires. Later in India, near Jaipur, joining a block printing workshop. Finally in Colombia, sitting on a low stool in a quiet neighborhood of Bogotá, I learned how to weave the traditional Colombian mochila bag.
These moments, working with my hands, learning from local artisans, surrounded by nature, reawakened my passion for textiles and interiors.
But, this time connecting it to the outdoors.
From indoor comfort to outdoor living
Back in Europe, while searching for fabrics for our garden lounge cushions, I discovered how much innovation is happening in outdoor textiles; comfortable, coastal proof, and beautifully made. That discovery sparked something new.
I ordered a few meters of the fabrics I liked the best and started experimenting in a co-working atelier in El Gotic, Barcelona, where the first patterns and samples of Interior Nomad are made.
With Interior Nomad you can combine your own comfy outdoor lounge. It is a blend of interior comfort and outdoor freedom translated in:

First summer season
At the end of April of 2026, the first Interior Nomad outdoor sofa cushions, parasols and sunloungers arrived in our LoungeLab. All made to measure and produced in Spain. The journey continues.
